VIDA is unique in that it relies primarily on attorneys volunteering their time and resources. Our work is regional in focus, but immigration attorneys anywhere can help us by taking certain types of cases for remote pro bono representation.
We are also in need of local attorneys who practice family, federal, and criminal law in the underserved areas where we operate. They can help with state proceedings in family court, post-conviction relief, and immigration-related federal litigation and appeals. We are also interested in working with organizations and individuals who work with or want to help immigrants in underserved areas of the United States.
Currently, we are primarily looking for local support in the following Tennessee counties: Campbell, Clairborne, Hancock, Hawkins, Sullivan, Johnson, Carter, Unicoi, Washington, Greene, Cocke, Hamblen, Jefferson, Grainger, Union, Anderson, Roane, Loudon, Knox, Sevier, Blount, Monroe, McMinn, Meigs, Rhea, Hamilton, Bradley, and Polk.
If you are an attorney or local organization who would like to get involved with VIDA, please complete the form on this page. Tell us a bit about yourself and your desired involvement in the "Message" section. You can also email us for more information at: email@example.com.
Thank you for considering volunteering or getting involved with VIDA!
